Festival of life and other stuffs......

Oh ......God its Monday again. The weekend has passed with a lot of activites, events, suspense, relief, tiredness. The fact that i slept so late this morning at 2.am! is enough to make me wake up at 7.am!. i rushed onto the stage coach bus from openshaw into the town centre as i reflected on the weekend. Pastor E.A Adeboye fondly reffered to as Daddy G.O was in london for the bi-ennial Festival of life. I arrived their by train in 2 hours 5 mins( a journey that would have taken me 5 hrs by bus.

Dayo israel who is a member of NXGN ( the youth forum for the RCCG in london) came over to meet me as we sauntered into the auditorium. Seeing from the great crowd how much respect Daddy G.O commands, he mounted the podium with all humilkity and saying is famous ''Let somebody shout Halleluyah'' in which everybody rose to their feets to acknowledge God. He preached about the God of wonder's and he kept me reeling in thoughts about the wonder and awe of God. He definitely does have the spirit of God as it is so obvious( by their fruit you shall know them). With his gentle slowing speech, he catches everyones attention by encouraging them to live in Holiness, ......later on during the ministration, he declared healing and made an altar call. Prior to Daddy G.O's Preaching was that of Jane Williams (The wife of Rowan Williams who is the archbishop of canterbury), Bishop P. Broadbent( a prominent clergy in the church of England), Pastor Albert Odulele( Founder and pastor of Glory House, London) and Pastor(mrs) Folu Adeboye.  The guest artist was Mark Beswick and power praise worship band and the FOL mass choir was there to lead the praise and worship. The NXGN aslo did an accapella to the admiration of worshippers. I also met some old friends like Dayo-israel, Yemi, and some other people i met during the African diaspora youth forums like Frances Makinwa, Femi e.t.c other i wont forget to mention are Dayo Elugbaju and Jumoke Hamzat, they actually came with the chuch bus from Manchester.

At 5.00am the program finished and i catched a bus to stratford. Bought a train ticket and went into the underground to london euston. I didnt get to manchester until 10.50 in the morning. Feeling refreshed after a taste of spiritual longiness.
