Dayo israel- The life of a young leader

Once again as usual, i am in bedford. This time around, it is the first time i will be at bedford college, and i am using a friends login ID to access the internet.Since my telephone connection has being severed (due to non-payment), I was unable to log on to my AOL dial up which definitely ,limit my laptops work power. I feel relieved getting back online to be able to write on the blog.

The first mail i read was from Dayo israel and it goes thus…

Hello Everyone,
Please find attached the information about the ADYF London Regional Conference on Youth Participation for Young Africans in the UK coming up on the 15th of March 2005.
Please read and familiarise yourselves with the informations as we would all have to write something, either an article or a press release about the event at some stage. We would also need someone to develop an Advert/Promo for the event and send to me for proof before we send out.
Tunde please get back to London before then as you would have to Co-chair the event. Gbenga, You have to meet up soonest so we can discuss your role here as an ADYF Board Member. Also My Birthday party is next saturday so I expect you there init. www.birthdaydayo.bravehost.com

Tunde pls lets talk and Gbenga.
Dayo

Apparently, I haven’t lost any of my youth developments licks and all hands are on deck now. Its a bit stressfull anyway combining school, alongside work with youth development but i consider it a service to humanity. Meeting dayo over next weekend is going to be another promising time to discuss the plights and involvement of young Africans leaving in the UK.

For those who do not know who dayo is, you can check what he has been doing on http://www.dayoisrael.faithweb.com/ .

I seem to go down memory lane and remember the youth for africa day we did in 2004 under the flagship of AFRUCA, an African Non Governmental organisation that is against child trafficking to and from the UK.

Dayo is an embodiment of potential as well a a born youth leader. He was once the Vice president of the Children senate in Nigeria(2003) as well as a Awardee of PEWA (people earnestly working for africa) as well as the present president of ADYF (African Diaspora Youth Forum) A forum for young people in the UK.
